Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Today's Thankful Heart - Nov 8th

Wow! Today has been a tough day. Nothing in particular happened, in fact that might be part of the issue. It has been one of those lazy "blah" days and I've been having trouble motivating myself to do anything. And unfortunately, I've taken it out a bit on my husband and kids with a total lack of patience.

So today - I'm thankful for two things:
  • My family who loves me and is willing to put this behind us and start a new day tomorrow (kids are much better at this than we are!). It does not make it okay, but I'm thankful that they love me when I do have these days.
  • God's mercy and grace - He is amazing to give us second chances and swift to forgive us when we sin if we are willing to repent.
