Today's Thankful Heart - Nov 9th

Today I'm thankful for, praise God for, rejoice because:
  • Ephesians 4 - Yep, today I'm thankful for a chapter in scripture. We are going through Ephesians in our house church right now and last week we talked about chapter 4. It seems to be the ball that got things rolling for me this past week. There just seems to be so much in this chapter regarding what God has been teaching me this last week through the elections, the nasty comments on my blog and things going on at work. And then tonight I listened to a guest speaker at the local house of prayer which went right along with all He has been teaching me. It is amazing how God works things together to speak to us. He truly is an Awesome and Almighty Lord!
  • Warm fuzzy slippers - I'm sitting at home right now in my PJs writing this wearing some nice warm fuzzy slippers which were a Christmas present last year (or maybe it was the year before - I don't quite recall now!) Regardless, warm fuzzy slippers and/or warm fuzzy socks on cold nights like tonight are just - well, cozy!!! ;)
  • Handy Husband - I grew up with a father who fixed everything around the house. I don't remember ever calling a plumber, electrician or any other type of handy man growing up. My dad took care of all those things. My husband is the same way. We needed a new garbage disposal installed, he took care of it. We wanted hardwood, tile and slate in our house, he did it. A few weeks ago, we realized there was a leak in the half wall between our shower and tub and it was causing mold to grow, he tore out the wall. Now it needs to be rebuilt so we can use the shower in our bathroom again, he'll be the one to build it. I honestly thought all men were this handy until I started talking to some of the people I work with and live around. Seems what I thought was just normal is actually me being extremely blessed!
